Different energizers serve different fencing needs:
LFL101-1 – AC Plug-in
Best for small paddocks up to 8 acres.
Covers short runs of polywire or tape.
LFR050 – Solar Energizer
Ideal for remote pastures up to 50 acres.
Works even after 3 weeks without sunlight.
LFP30 – Dual-Purpose Energizer
Runs on AC or 12V battery.
Covers 65 miles of fencing.
ADS9000 – High-Power Solar Model
For large operations up to 150 km.
Great for cattle ranches and long perimeters.
Most fence problems are caused by poor grounding—not by the energizer.
Use 1 grounding rod (1.5–2 m) for small fences
Use 2–3 rods spaced 3–5 m apart for larger fences
Connect rods to the energizer’s Earth terminal
Add water around rods during dry seasons
Mount 1 meter above ground
Keep away from metal surfaces
Keep the energizer dry and well-ventilated
For solar units, face the panel toward full sunlight
Lydite energizers work with all major conductors:
Polywire → long runs, general livestock
Polyrope → large animals, horses
Tape → high visibility, horse paddocks
Netting → sheep, goats, poultry
Make sure the fence conductor fits the energizer's power level.
Use the right post type:
Fiberglass fence posts → light, durable
Plastic fence posts → easy installation
Pigtail posts → portable fencing
Metal posts → permanent installations (needs insulators)
Use high-quality insulators to prevent power leakage.
Attach lead-out wire to the Fence (+) terminal
Clip the wire to your conductor (polywire / tape / rope / netting)
Ensure tight, corrosion-free connections
Avoid contact with metal posts and wet grass
AC Energizer → plug into 110–240V
Solar Energizer → connect to 12V battery
Dual Purpose → choose AC or battery depending on location
Use a digital fence tester:
Ideal voltage: 3000–8000V
Minimum: 2000V
Check multiple points on the fence
If voltage drops:
a) fix grounding
b) clear vegetation
c) tighten connectors
Clean solar panels
Check battery levels
Tighten fence wires
Replace cracked insulators
Clear weed growth along the fence
Here are the most common energizer installation mistakes:
Weak grounding system
Using a small energizer for a long fence
Grass touching the lower wires
Poor insulators or rusty connectors
Running polywire and netting on an underpowered unit
Not testing the fence weekly
A properly installed electric fence energizer protects your livestock, your land, and your peace of mind.
For your needs:
LFL101-1 → small fences
LFR050 → solar-powered mobility
LFP30 → flexible AC + battery
ADS9000 → long-distance, high-power ranches
